Campaigns

Who we are fighting for

Fighting for justice for all earthlings through protesting, investigations, educational outreach, and community empowerment. Our main campaigns right now are focused on trophy hunting, animals in entertainment, elephant welfare, and assisting other groups with their campaigns.

Bear Defenders - A OneProtest Campaign

We are on a mission to pioneer a road-map that will lead people through the process of ending bear hunting in their State. Our strategic and all-encompassing approach arms bear defenders with the education and resources needed to stop bear hunting in their State and safeguard the future existence of bears.

SeaQuest Abuse - A OneProtest Campaign

SeaQuest has a track record of poorly run establishments coupled with an extensive history of animal welfare offenses and public safety violations. Hundreds of animals have perished as a result of SeaQuest’s negligence, and a number of people have reported injuries due to their contact with wildlife at SeaQuest.

Help us shut down SeaQuest and stop them from abusing more animals.

Protecting the Goliath Grouper - A OneProtest Campaign

The economic gain from eco-tourism dive operators in Florida far exceeds the one time charge of $300 FWC purposes to charge to be able to kill this critically endangered Goliath Grouper. Goliath Groupers are actually ecological engineers that create more life in both diversity and abundance all around them just by existing, same as the wolves of Yellowstone Park.

"Over-fishing is the reason for declining fish and lobster stocks; not Goliath Groupers." - Dr. Sarah Frias-Torres

San Juan de Aragón zoo - A History of Neglect, Abuse, and Death - A OneProtest Investigation

Since 2013, 369 animals have died in the zoo, mostly due to negligence, unprepared, incompetent medical staff, and poorly-skilled, poorly-trained keepers. The zoo’s authorities themselves seem to be apathetic towards their own animals, and that indifference will only lead to more suffering and abuse.

One of the neglected animals was Maggie, an Asian elephant that died in April 2016. Her death could have been prevented had she been given the kind of care all of the animals should receive. Maggie was euthanized after suffering from degenerative osteoarthritis.

Puppy Mills - A OneProtest Campaign

Puppy Mills are large-scale commercial dog breeding facilities that operate for the sole purpose of making a profit. The care and well-being of dogs at puppy mills is not a priority; dogs are treated as commodities.

Dogs are kept in unsanitary, overcrowded conditions, which do not supply adequate food or water to support quality of life. Many of the dogs have never even stepped foot on grass. The horrible living conditions and lack of veterinary care lead to emotional, social, and physical issues, including genetic disorders and deformities.

Cruel Unregulated Land Based Shark Fishing - A OneProtest Campaign

Land based shark fishing (LBSF) is an adrenaline fueled sport practiced by a small segment of the fishing community. Shark fishing typically takes place at night and the fishermen often use kayaks to drop bloody baits out past the surf line. Currently there are no state laws regulating shark fishing, allowing shark fishermen to fish wherever and whenever they want. They often chum the waters with bloody fish pieces, attracting large predatory sharks into public swimming beaches.

Agricultural Animal Abuse - A OneProtest Investigation

Fairs and auction houses don't see animal as living beings with feelings and emotions, they see them in terms of profits margins and bragging rights. The animal's welfare and dignity are just an afterthought. We expose the inhumane conditions of these modern day slave auctions. All beings deserve to be treated with respect.

Not Just 4 Easter - A OneProtest Partnership

#NotJust4Easter began in 2015 with the goal to significantly decrease the number of animals purchased as Easter gifts through heavy outreach both in our local communities and the internet. Did you know that 95% of animals bought for Easter die before their first birthdays? Many rabbits and chicks fall ill or injured, are discarded to the streets or end up in kill shelters. The lucky ones make it to loving rescue groups.
